One of the favorites for this event is Sébastien Ogier (Toyota). The Frenchman, winner of the last Mexican edition in 2020, returns with his new co-driver Vincent Landais to score a seventh success, which would make him the record holder for the Rally of Mexico.

The French crew took advantage of the accident of the leaders Esapekka Lappi-Janne Ferm (Hyundai) in the first special on Saturday to take the lead.

Finally, we will have to monitor the evolution of the match between the Skoda Fabia Rally2 and the aging Ford Fiesta of the French Adrien fourmaux and Alexandre Coria in WRC2. They are sailing in 2nd place, 8″5 behind Gus Greensmith.
