The route of the Rally Turkey

The course of Rally of Turkey contested from September 13 to 16 was revealed by the organizers. The latter set up a 317,28km timed event traced in the regions of Marmaris and Mugla. The total route will be 896,08km.

Rally Turkey begins with Thursday's shakedown, a 5km stage in Degirmenyani located just 6km from the service park in Asparan. The 2,45km Marmaris Meydan super special will kick off the hostilities in the evening.

The first stage will launch the crews into the deep end on Friday with the 38,1km of Cetibeli, the longest stage of the event which will precede Ula (21,9km) and Çiçeli (12,55km). These courses will be contested twice.

The second stage on Saturday will also feature three different routes for a total of six stages. The final day will offer the crews three special stages including the 7,12km Marmaris Power Stage which will be run for the first time by the competitors.

“This year we are celebrating Turkey’s first return to WRC since 2010 when the event was held near Istanbul, recalls the race director of the event Murat Kaya. With the trip to Marmaris and its surroundings, the rally will offer magnificent stages and a showcase of the fascinating history and culture of its ancient lands and its breathtaking views. We have worked hard to offer an experience that meets the standards required by the WRC with compact roads and organization to match. »

The Turkey Rally has had six editions, half of which were won by Sébastien Loeb.
