The 2022 plateau known this week?

With only two rallies left to contest in 2021, preparations for the next season should be accelerated in the coming days.

For several months, rumors about the composition of the teams for 2022 have been multiplying. Concerning the future workforce, there are already some certainties.

Lappi designated this week?

Within the TGR, Jari-Matti Latvala has always affirmed that his priority was to keep the same crews to face the arrival of the hybrid. Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä having never expressed their desire to discover other horizons while this change in regulations is looming, there is a very high probability that they will evolve with the new Yaris from Monte-Carlo. Supported by the manufacturer, Takamoto Katsuta also has a good chance of having a program whose content remains to be defined. The uncertainty therefore concerns the 3e car. Sébastien Ogier no longer wishes to participate in a full championship. Eager to race punctually, the team was looking for a driver to replace him and everything seems to indicate that Esapekka Lappi gave complete satisfaction during the rally from Finland. The number of his appearances will be subject to Ogier's guidance, but EP has already reiterated that he is in favor of a gap schedule.

Three Puma over the 13 rounds?

Of the three teams present in WRC, the Englishwoman is the one for whom there are the most unknowns. Not having a top driver, M-Sport was the only one to offer 3 seats and the list of contenders continued to grow. Several indications indicate that Craig Breen should finally get a full time. The situations of Gus Greensmith and Adrien Fourmaux are unclear. Given the investment made in the Frenchman, it would be surprising if he didn't make the team, but will he be at the start of every round in Rally1? Will he have to share his seat with Fergus who also wishes to continue his involvement? Will they also have a full season, which would imply that M-Sport is fielding three Puma at all events? Here again, the answer should not take long to come.
