Michel Vaillant's next volume will take place in the WRC

After a stint with Renault en Formula 1, Michel Vaillant returns to the world of rally. After an excursion to the Rallye du Valais (Switzerland) in volume 3 of the new season entitled “Liaison Dangereuse”, the famous comic book hero will finally access the World Championship (WRC) in volume 9, to be published on November 6.

This ninth episode will be titled “Duels” and we already know that Michel Vaillant will have to live with a new teammate, “a young pilot” according to the announcement posted on social networks this Tuesday, June 16. There Hyundai i20 Coupe gets cover honors as does Ford Fiesta M-Sport and Toyota Yaris.

With the use of the plural, we can assume that the protagonist will not only have to scrape with the Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak and other Sébastien Ogier, but also fight an internal battle with his long-toothed colleague.

Cartoonists Benjamin Bénéteau and Vincent Dutreuil and Belgian screenwriter Denis Lapière remain at the helm of the famous comic strip focused on motor sports.

Like a happiness that never comes alone, a new Dossier Michel Vaillant will be released in bookstores on August 28. The theme of this event will be the Paul-Ricard circuit, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2020.

Among the 96 pages of this 15th Dossier, the reader will be able to discover the history of the Var track through the pen of journalist Lionel Froissart, but also archive images and three short comic strip stories including imagined by Jean Graton, the creator by Michel Vaillant.

As a reminder, the Michel Vaillant Files focus on a pilot (Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna), a central figure in the history of the automobile (Enzo Ferrari, Louis Chevrolet) or circuits (Spa-Francorchamps).
