Rally Poland remains on the 2017 calendar

During the presentation of the draft 2017 WRC calendar last September, Poland did not have its presence guaranteed for the next season of the World Championship, registered on the list of “reserves” for one of the two rounds remaining to be confirmed, alongside Turkey and China .

Confirmation of the continuation of the Rally of Poland as part of the World Cup in 2017 was finally recorded today, in a press release from the organization, after signing the contract with the promoter of the WRC.

« It is a great joy and a real satisfaction for us that the Rally Poland is for the sixth time in history a round of the World Rally Championship and for the fourth year in a row, underlines Andrzej Witkowski, president of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.

There will be many exciting changes to the WRC in 2017. Rally fans can't wait to admire the world's best drivers behind the wheel of the all-new cars on our tracks. »

Oliver Ciesla, WRC promotion manager, praised the improvements made by the organizers of the event based around Mikolajki. The Polish Rally is due to take place from June 30 to July 2, the dates still being subject to validation by the next World Motor Sport Council, on November 30.
