The WRC in Corsica or Alsace

The FFSA steering committee today examined the various files following the call for projects launched for the organization of the French round of the WRC from 2010. These are the applications from the Tour de Corse and the Alsace Region which won the votes.

If the date to organize the next Rally of France is known – the weekend of October 3? the location has yet to be determined. Four files responded to the call for projects launched for the organization: the Tour de Corse, Lorraine-Alsace, Burgundy-Franche Comté and Limousin. The FFSA Steering Committee met on Wednesday October 7 to examine the files and in particular the financial contributions of local authorities.

At the end of this meeting, two files were selected. These are the candidatures of the Tour de Corse and the Alsace Region. The Steering Committee also voted in favor of the annual organization of the Rallye de France. In this case, the president of the FFSA, Mr. Nicolas Deschaux, will question the supports of the two files retained on the feasibility of the rallies planned for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012.

A final decision will then be taken on October 28, 2009.
