Ypres Rally dates confirmed

Organizers of the Ypres Rally have confirmed the dates for the Belgian WRC event, which will take place from August 13-15.

We knew that the Rally from Ypres had noted its presence in the calendar WRC 2021 for several days, but the exact date of the Belgian meeting of the World Rally Championship remained to be defined.

The FIA and the organizer have thus validated the summer weekend of August 13 to 15, a date which fits rather ideally compared to the other major events contested on the other side of the border.

“For us as an organization it is an ideal date, because for many people it is a long weekend and we fall right in the middle of the school holidays, explains Jan Huyghe on behalf of Club Superstage.

In addition, this date is also ideal for the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, where two weeks later the GP of Formula 1 is on the program. »

A date which could make it possible, depending on the evolution of the health situation, to welcome the public to the roadsides.
