Exclusive rights to the WRC transferred to the Canal+ group from 2019

Finished the L’Équipe channel. To follow the World Rally Championship (WRC) from the 2019 season, you will have to tune into Canal+ Group channels for several years, according to an agreement concerning the exclusive rights of the WRC.

The device will be particularly rich. It will be possible to follow live the special stages of each round on Canal+ Sport, while for latecomers, 26-minute summaries of the best moments of each stage will be broadcast on the private group's channels.

A best-of of each rally, 52 minutes long, will also be presented, all of which can be viewed on your computer, tablet or smartphone thanks to catch-up TV offers (replay on MyCanal).

If you do not have a subscription to the encrypted channel, it will still be possible to follow Monte-Carlo and the Tour de Corsica via the C8 canal, with live specials and stage summaries.

Thierry cheleman, sports director of the Canal+ group, welcomes this purchase, a few months after having taken away the rights of MotoGP at Eurosport. “We are strengthening significantly and we are able to offer an incredible and unrivaled motorsport offering in France on Canal+. With the editorial and technical know-how of the Canal+ teams, the WRC, like the other motor sports broadcast on our channels, will benefit from exceptional coverage. »
