Esappeka Lappi, who recently had to abandon the Jämsän Aijät Ralli after only 300 meters, has announced his participation in the Lõuna-Eesti Rally which will take place on the weekend of August 22 to 23.
The Nordic will be behind the wheel of the Ford Fiesta RS WRC from JanPro Racing. In the process, M-Sport also confirmed the participation of his teammate and compatriot Teemu suninen. A welcome ride for the latter who has no longer contested rally since his 3rd place obtained in Mexico.
However, Suninen will have to wait a little longer before finding his usual WRC mount since he will compete in this round at the wheel of a simple private Ford Fiesta R5.
The Lõuna-Eesti Rally event is the ideal place to prepare for the next round of the season, in Estonia, where the average speeds will be enormous. In the meantime, the M-Sport drivers will not have it easy for this practice round. The current world champion Ott Tänak (Hyundai) should be there, just like Thierry Neuville et Sébastien Ogier (Toyota).
