Present on the Italian island while the WRC stopped there, Andreas Mikkelsen, Pirelli test driver, was able to put the new components of the trans brand to the testalpine.
On site, the Norwegian did test sessions on different surfaces on which he tried next year's components. Thus, on the Citroën C3 WRC of Saintéloc, Andreas Mikkelsen put on the Scorpion on gravel, the P Zero on asphalt or even the Cinturato in the rain.

Pirelli also took advantage of the wet and humid conditions of Sardinia to run its rider with the Scorpion KX (the soft range) on gravel. In this way, the test program is “ equipped » announces the transalpine manufacturer. In total, 1.400 kilometers were covered, the equivalent of approximately five rounds of the world championship.
The exclusive supplier of the WRC from next year is now set on the components which will be used during the first two meetings of the 2021 season (Monte-Carlo and Sweden). Teams will be able to try them in December, Pirelli announces.
