En WRC, it's a refrain. Constantly highlighted by the various players, experience is essential. When a new round is added to the calendar, drivers who have a certain knowledge of the area find themselves with an advantage that it is up to them to make the most of. In Ypres, Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe gave a brilliant demonstration of this. Even the Belgians agree to recognize this. The test which has long constituted a pillar of theERC does not have the most earth-shattering axes there are. As for the Spa times, the idea was undoubtedly laudable, but navigating roundabouts, passageways and loopholes was quite ugly and did not do the site any favors. The roads of Flanders do not offer
