Loeb: “It wasn’t obvious”

The mastery demonstrated by Sébastien Loeb would almost overshadow the exploits he achieves. The Citroën driver set all of the best times of the day and took 44 seconds from Mikko Hirvonen during the second day of the Rally Portugal.

Loeb: “It wasn’t obvious”

“The results of the day are perfect! We were 18 seconds late this morning, are we 26 seconds ahead this evening? Taking 44 seconds from Mikko on a regular basis was not easy. We now have a good lead, but we must remain on our guard because we do not know how to assess the importance of sweeping from one stage to another. We don't even feel it while driving and we sometimes have a few surprises when discovering the times at the stop point! » comments the evening leader.

Five special stages and 80 timed kilometers remain to be covered tomorrow. Sebastian Loeb will open the road and sweep the trajectory for Mikko Hirvonen who will start two minutes behind him.
