Loeb hopes to see Sordo shine at Mini

Launched into the deep end of the World Rally Championship in 2007, Dani Sordo did not start in the best position, since he immediately had to deal with a teammate outrageously dominating the discipline. Never in four years did the 2006 junior world champion seem able to compete with Sébastien Loeb. It must be said that having the most successful driver in history at your side is enough to inhibit more than one person. Sébastien Loeb also thinks that Dani Sordo could well show himself in a better light at Mini, whose colors he will defend in WRC this season.

“He will have the freedom to fight for himself now, and maybe he will be stronger because the situation will be different, underlines on wrc.com the official Citroën driver, who currently occupies first place in the general classification. I was always put in front of him and he easily agreed to be number 2, to score points and to do what the boss told him to do. He accepted the fact that I was faster and never tried (to beat me, editor's note). He was doing his best but I was still ahead. »

With 2009 IRC winner Kris Meeke as his teammate, Dani Sordo will this time have a teammate with less experience than him in the World Rally Championship.
