Loeb: “Maybe one or two rallies in 2018”

Sébastien Loeb came to Wales Rally GB to witness the coronation of Sébastien Ogier and M-Sport, while Elfyn Evans won her first victory in WRC with Dmack. The nine-time WRC champion took the opportunity to reflect on his thoughts on 2018 after being able to test the Citroën C3 WRC on gravel and asphalt.

“Nothing has been decided yet. I am considering the possibility of doing a few rallies. My main program will remain in Rallycross with Peugeot but everything remains possible apart from that. It will certainly not be a participation in ten rallies, rather one or two”, indicated the Alsatian.

Sébastien Loeb is keeping an eye on the development of the WRC which seems to have experienced a revival of form this year with the implementation of the new regulations.

“The cars are more powerful, more beautiful and more impressive compared to their predecessors, confirmed Sébastien Loeb. The Championship has also become more open. Ogier is intelligent because he always secures good points when he doesn't win. There are very good pilots like Thank you et Neuville but it is the most regular. Young drivers are very impressive. »

“I was happy with the opportunity to test the C3 WRC. The car is fast but it can be difficult to drive. I'm not sure what this car is missing, but it sure has potential. This season has not been the best for them,” recognized the Frenchman.
