Sébastien Loeb started the Rallye de France in the best possible way as he set the best time in the shakedown ahead of his teammate Sébastien Ogier.

Loeb takes the lead in the shakedown

Under a beautiful sun, the seven-time world champion achieved a time of 1:47??1 ahead of his teammate Sébastien Ogier and Dani Sordo (Mini), both three tenths behind the last winner of the Rally from France-Alsace.

Jari-Matti Latvala places the first Fiesta RS WRC in fourth position (+ 0??8) while Petter Solberg (Citroën) is a full second behind Sébastien Loeb. Kris Meeke confirmed the good performance of the Mini JCW WRC on asphalt as he finished only a tenth behind the Norwegian.

Henning Solberg (Ford) is ahead of Kimi Räikkönen, eighth in the session, 1??4 behind the Alsatian. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) is only tenth behind Matthew Wilson, the Flying Finn trailing by 1??8 after the shakedown.
