Loeb will take the wheel of the Citroën C3 WRC

If Sébastien Loeb joined Peugeot Sport to continue his career as a pilot in Rallycross and Rally-Raid, the nine-time champion of WRC has maintained links with Citroën Racing, an entity of the PSA group.

The Alsatian will take part in a test session at the wheel of the Citroën C3 WRC in asphalt configuration in the coming weeks. This test will allow both Sébastien Loeb to discover the performance of the new WRCs and the French manufacturer to benefit from feedback from the former world champion.

“We can form a single entity with the creation of PSA Motorsport, comments Sébastien Loeb. I can bring my experience to Citroën by testing the C3 WRC in addition to my programs with Peugeot in World RX and Rally-Raid. »

“I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of a WRC and see how technology has changed in this discipline because I remain passionate about rallying. Among all the disciplines I have tested over the last five years, I have the feeling that this is rallying that I prefer”, underlines Sébastien Loeb.

Sébastien Loeb scored 78 WRC victories before continuing his career with Citroën in the WTCC. The Alsatian joined Peugeot at the end of 2015 with whom he had already set the record for the climb of Pikes Peak in 2013 with the 208 T16 Pikes Peak.
