M-Sport Ford reassures itself with the first podium of the year

“Unfortunately there were a few things that cost us a lot of time. The second passage in the Otates special was very penalizing while we made the wrong tire choice on Sunday morning », recognizes the 30-year-old Briton.

His boss Richard Millener established a much more encouraging assessment. “Elfyn and Scott (Martin, the co-pilot) delivered a very solid performance. They were one of the rare crews not to make the slightest driving error. 

They showed that the Fiesta had good pace on gravel and demonstrated that we are moving in the right direction with our development program. I’m sure we’ll see more weekends like this throughout the year. » Elfyn Evans has in any case moved up to fifth place overall with 28 points.
