M-Sport officially launches its Fiesta Rally3

This time, the pyramid rally is complete within M-Sport. The British entity, via its Poland division, officially unveiled this Friday the Rally3 version of its Fiesta, which completes the loop between the future Rally1 which will officiate in WRC and the Rally2 (formerly R5) and Rally4 already in action around the world.

This four-wheel drive, which can evolve at the national, continental or international level, is currently continuing its development on various surfaces, before an approval date set for March 1, 2021, which will constitute the first car in the category to pass validation. of the FIA.

The Fiesta Rally3 is powered by the 1,5 liter EcoBoost unit, developing approximately 215 hp, power transmitted to all four wheels via a five-speed gearbox. The total mass of the car is 1210 kg.

“I'm very happy with the way things are progressing with the Fiesta Rally3, specifies Maciej Woda, director of M-Sport Poland. Every time I see the development car, I feel very proud of the entire team who work tirelessly and have worked throughout 2020 on this truly revolutionary car.

The Fiesta Rally3 will by no means be an alternative to any car that currently exists, it will be a completely new concept serving what has been a very underserved area of rallying.

It will be the ideal stepping stone for those moving from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, allowing riders to learn and refine the skills needed to pilot four-wheel drive machines, which is a huge step for any competitor.

Since the first discussions on the Rally3 concept, we have all been very excited about the potential of this category. The cost cap has been a key point for us, and I think €99 will be a very good price for an entry-level four-wheel drive car, especially for national and regional championships around the world. »

The first orders can be placed from November 16.
