Developed entirely under the leadership of M-Sport Poland, the new Ford Fiesta R2 was presented this Tuesday, a car meeting the very latest developments in the FIA R2 regulations.
Supported in the creative process by the parent company of the blue oval brand, the Polish entity of Malcolm Wilson's structure was designed from a blank sheet, and offers a completely revised design, inspired by some aspects by the big sister Fiesta WRC, double world champion with Sébastien Ogier the last two years.
The car is powered by the one-liter engine block which produces 200 hp, and coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspensions will incorporate Reiger shock absorbers, adjustable according to three laws at the front and two at the rear.
We will find this car in 2019 in the Junior WRC, the first level of the World Rally Championship, before the WRC 3, WRC 2 and queen WRC categories.
