Absent from Monte-Carlo, the English team begins its campaign in Umeå, in the north of Sweden, where the second round of the 2022 season will be organized (February 23-27). Alongside the 4 Puma Hybrid Rally1, two Fiesta Rally2s will take place under the British team structure M-Sport, l’une pour Jari Huttunen et l’autre pour Mattias Adielsson.
For Jari Huttunen, this will be the second race in these colors after his success at Monza last year. The 27-year-old Finn, WRC3 world champion in 2020, will be a serious rival for favorite Andreas Mikkelsen. At 32, Mattias Adielsson has so far mainly raced in Sweden and ERC. For his 3e appearance at this level, its ambitions remain modest. If the latter is not guaranteed to participate in other meetings during the season, Jari Huttunen should have a program with M-Sport allowing him to compete for the title.
