Mäkinen: Hänninen probably starts

The four-time world champion, at the head of the Toyota project, indicated that Finnish Juho Hänninen would probably be one of the three starting drivers in 2017.

La Toyota Yaris 2017 poursuit son programme de développement en Finlande. Après avoir été pilotée par le patron Tommi Mäkinen en personne, son compatriote Juho Hänninen avait pris le relais sur les pistes nordiques de la Japonaise (watch the video).

Mäkinen, cité par le média finlandais YLE, a indiqué que l’ex-pensionnaire de Hyundai Motorsport, tenait la corde pour être titulaire. “Next season, Toyota has three racing drivers, including one is very likely to be Juho Hänninen." emphasizes Mäkinen.

CARhebdo was also able to reach the former Mitsubishi and Subaru driver recently. “As we are not limited this year in terms of the number of days or places (for testing), the objective is to build three cars in order to multiply the sessions in all possible conditions.
