Martin Prokop threatens to quit WRC

Martin Prokop may well not be on the trip to Poland in July. The Czech private pilot said he was considering leaving the WRC at the end of the Rally in Sardinia where he received a five-minute penalty before the start of the event for breaking the seal on the transmission of his Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

“It’s my favorite rally of the season, but we were in difficulty from the start with this penalty. I will leave this Championship now. I'm not happy with the situation. I don't know when I'll come back.", warns Martin Prokop.

Martin Prokop took 11th place at the Sardinia Rally. The Czech, who is tied for 13th place in the Championship with Stéphane Lefebvre, could have taken ninth place without his penalty.
