The start took place smoothly this Saturday on the side of the Rally from Kenya.
With three tough stages to compete, the competitors did not want to take any risks before attacking the second loop of the day.
At the forefront, it is Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) who distinguished himself by signing two of the three scratches, the other having returned to Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).
Thanks to his 3rd and 4th special victories in this rally, the seven-time world champion has closed part of his gap on Ott Tänak (Hyundai), third overall. Relegated to 53”6 behind the Estonian before the first start of the day, Sébastien Ogier returned to 37”6 before the afternoon loop.

After this calm start to the day, Thierry Neuville is still in the lead, now almost half a minute ahead of the Japanese Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota), who has put in a solid performance so far.
Three new specials are on the program this Saturday afternoon. The resumption is set for 13:05 p.m. and will be followed on Self.
