Meeke rolls out, Ogier resists Mikkelsen

Kris Meeke (Citroën) slowed down his pace in the second pass of the special stages of the second stage of the Rally of Portugal to manage its lead over the Volkswagen Polo R WRC de Sébastien Ogier and Andreas Mikkelsen who maintain a strong pace.

The Frenchman and the Norwegian are in fact fighting for second place with a gap of three seconds to the advantage of the three-time world champion.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a perdu le fil et se retrouve à plus d’une demi-minute du Scandinave. L’Espagnol conserve une avance plus que conséquente sur Éric Camilli (Ford) toujours bien installé en cinquième position devant Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen).

Despite a puncture, Pontus Tidemand (Skoda Fabia R5) retains the lead of WRC 2 after gaining more than half a minute on his rival Nicolas Fuchs in the last special of the day. The two drivers at the forefront of the category complete the top ten in the general classification.

The final stage of the Rally Portugal will offer a route of 67,3 km spread over two special stages covered twice. The first car will set off at 8:04 a.m. the last day will be followed live with our live text.
