Meeke worried about night special

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) was for once advantaged by its opening position on the road. If the Citroën driver swept the dirt courses, the dust raised greatly reduced the visibility of the following crews who lost time in the morning's specials, even if Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) and Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) remain in contact with the leader of Rally of Catalonia.

The organizers have extended the time between car departures from 3 to 4 minutes in order to improve visibility. But Kris Meeke (Mini), sixth, almost a minute and a half behind the leader, is worried about the last special of the day which will be contested at night. “Mini had already requested a 4-minute delay the day before but Ford had indicated that it would not be a problem”, assures the Briton. “I'm really not comfortable with the idea of driving at night. With the headlights installed on the car, the light reflects in the clouds of dust. It only takes a light cloud to be completely blinded. We hope that the dust will not rise too quickly. »

Sébastien Loeb will be the first to open the road this evening in Las Garrigues (18,5km). The start should be given at 19:28 p.m.
