Ott Tänak (Toyota) took advantage of the problems of his Finnish teammate to climb to 4th place after overtaking Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) with a 2 second lead. The Finn will, however, have the advantage of position on the road for the second stage, the positions being fixed at the end of the Las Minas special (SS7).
