Mexico: Ogier benefits from Hyundai's misfortunes

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) is in the lead at Rally of Mexico before the two passages of the V-Power Shell super special. The six-time champion WRC a vu ses rivaux directs de Hyundai abandonner sur problèmes mécaniques.

Then in the lead, Andreas Mikkelsen dismounted for an as yet undetermined reason. A collision against a stone could be the cause of its abandonment. Dani Sordo retired on the link before the last big stage of the day (SS7) while he was fighting for the lead of the race. The Spaniard suffered an electrical problem, probably with the battery or the alternator.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) is now in 4th place, around ten seconds behind his teammate. His compatriot Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) completes the Top 5 for 8 tenths ahead of Ott Tänak (Toyota). Thierry Neuville completes the WRC rankings by being one minute from the lead of the race.

The first stage of the Rally Mexico will conclude with two passages of the 2,33km V-Power Shell Stage, contested from 1h58 Paris time. The event can be followed live with our live text.
