What a morning in Türkiye! The general classification of the event was completely shaken up after the leaders saw their horses suffer in the rough special stages of this new event.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) took advantage of the misfortunes of his rivals to take control of the Rally of Turkey now benefiting from more than half a minute ahead of his pursuers. The Norwegian is aiming for his first WRC victory here since the 2016 Rally Australia which he competed in with Volkswagen.
Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) finds himself in 5th position ahead Craig Breen (Citroën) who gained a place following the exit of Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) in SS10. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) follows in 7th place.
