Mikko Hirvonen entered at Condroz in a Citroën DS3 R5

From the Mini ALL4 in rally-raid on the Citroën DS3 R5 in a rally, Mikko Hirvonen will return to his favorite discipline the weekend of November 4 to 6 as part of the Condroz Rally in Belgium. The Finn had already competed in an event in 2015 in the Canaries with a Mini JCW.

The former resident of Subaru, Ford and Citroën in WRC will ride on a herringbone mount, aligned with a DS3 R5 from Team Burton Racing, a category that he will discover. “It’s always a pleasure to be back in competition and I’m very happy to take part in the Rallye du Condroz in a DS 3 R5, underlines the four-time vice-world champion.

I have never driven an R5 category car. So it will be a great experience for me. This will be the second time that I will compete in a rally in Belgium and I know that the conditions there can be very difficult. The competition will be tough. I will have to face very good drivers. In any case, I hope to put in a good performance and have fun throughout the weekend. »

Among the other drivers entered under the colors of Citroën, Hirvonen will face in particular Stéphane Lefebvre (DS3 R5), injured in Germany last August, while the boss of Citroën Racing Yves Matton will drive a C4 WRC, co-driven by a certain Daniel Elena .
