Mikko Hirvonen: “Not worried”

He started the season in the best possible way. Unfortunately for the Finn, the “never two without three” theory did not work. Sparkling in Monte Carlo, astonishing mastery in Sweden, the Ford driver completed the rally from Mexico at the foot of the podium. Having lost his place as leader in the world rankings, Mikko Hirvonen is not panicking, as he declares in an exclusive interview with wrc.com.

“I have never had a good feeling on this rally. We didn't have enough power, affirms the 2008 and 2009 world vice-champion. I didn't find the same sensations as usual. A lot of things were wrong. I'm really disappointed but not worried. I'm sure we can fight up front again. There is no problem. It won't be easy in Jordan either but I think we will be quicker there. We won't be as far away as Mexico. »

Now the Ford team will get back to work to reverse the trend from the Jordan Rally, with a test session in Sardinia planned between now and the third round of the 2010 World Rally Championship.
