Neuville: Start with confidence

Thierry Neuville is preparing to compete in his first Monte-Carlo Rally in the WRC. The DS3 WRC driver will adopt a cautious approach in order to gain confidence and gradually build up pace.

After distinguishing himself in IRC, Thierry Neuville is preparing to fight at the highest level by starting the season WRC in Monte Carlo. After having signed the same time as Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) at the shakedown with one second behind the scratch of Evgeny Novikov (Ford), the Belgian wants to adopt a cautious approach after having had a bad experience of the Monaco event . His main objective will be to gain confidence behind the wheel of the DS3 WRC to establish constant progress.

“This is the start of a new adventure and I am very proud to be part of the best team in the world”, enthuses Thierry Neuville. ?I did some testing last week, everything went well and I had a very good feeling again this morning at the shakedown. I don?t have much experience of this event, since I crashed in the first special last year. My goal will be to finish the event by developing my confidence behind the wheel. »
