That's it Rally of Italy has started! As usual, the Shakedown kicked off hostilities in Sardinia this Thursday.
On site, it is Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who stood out. On the 2,89 kilometer long course, the Belgian set his best time during his 4th pass. He dominated the Shakedown rankings with a time of 1'50"7. At the finish, he is ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak of 9 tenths.
Back in the premier class at the wheel of the Ford Fiesta, Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) climbs to 3rd position, one second behind Thierry Neuville's mark. Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai) complete the Shakedown Top 5.

Returned to WRC2 during the Italian event, Adrien fourmaux (M-Sport) is 12th overall and 2nd in his category behind Mads Østberg (TRT). The Frenchman's best run resulted in a time of 1'56"9 to 6"2 from Thierry Neuville.
