Neuville: “I’m going to have to take more risks”

After a blank result Rally from Germany, Thierry Neuville voit ses chances de titre se réduire. Le pilote Hyundai accuse 17 points de retard sur le leader du Championnat Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) three rounds from the end of the season.

Thierry Neuville does not intend to give up and is ready to be aggressive in the final events in order to maintain his hopes of winning the title.

“I tell myself that the opportunity to win the title is very present and that we must concentrate on Catalonia, confided Thierry Neuville to AUTOhebdo (October 5-8. Editor’s note). I actually like the last three rallies of the season, especially the GB Rally and Australia where I have already finished on the podium. It might be a little more difficult for us in Spain, on the asphalt. I'm not going to pay more attention to the ropes after what happened in Germany. I know I'm going to have to take more risks. »

“Given my situation, the pressure will be less. Either it works and I come back, or the race doesn't go as planned and it will be lost. I just have to ride fast and hope for a good result. There is not only Ogier to watch, there is also Ott Tänak who is behind me in the championship. He has been strong since the start of the season. This proves that the Fiesta has made good progress. Today it's hard to beat them." recognized Thierry Neuville.
