Neuville wins his duel against Sordo

Fifth this morning with a little less than five seconds ahead of his teammate Thierry Neuville, the Spanish Dani sordo could not contain the return of the Belgian, who ultimately beat him by eight tenths at the end of the Power Stage. “The battle with Thierry was incredibly close but he was faster at the end, well done to him. We lost a little too much time in the Col de Turini, but sixth place is a good result. » Sordo, however, specifies.

Thierry Neuville succeeded for his part, to reach the finish of Monte-Carlo for the first time in his career. “After the disappointment of last season we wanted to take things cautiously, but I gained confidence as we went along. It was a very close battle with Dani for fifth place and I had to push a little more in today's stages. Getting both cars to the finish is the most important thing and it’s a good team result. I hope it will be a good basis for the rest of the season. »
