Neuville returns to victory

After Rally from Germany 2014, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a signé sa seconde victoire en WRC by winning the Sardinia Rally. The Belgian, who won for the first time in a dirt event, reached the finish with a lead of 24 seconds over Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) who was not able to put pressure on on the leader in the last stage.

Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) completes the podium after having to sweep the road during the first two days. The three-time world champion further increases his lead in the Championship by taking advantage of the retirements of Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) and Mads Ostberg (Ford), his direct opponents in the Drivers' standings. The Frenchman won the Power Stage ahead of Kevin Abbring (Hyundai) and Latvala.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) takes fourth place for the fourth time in a row by more than two minutes ahead Ott Tänak (Ford). The Dmack driver maintained a half-minute lead over Éric Camilli (Ford) who signed another positive result after his fifth place obtained in Portugal.

Henning Solberg (Ford) took seventh place after being unable to catch up with the Frenchman following a broken rear suspension.

Teemu Suninen (Skoda Fabia R5) won in WRC 2 by taking eighth place in the general classification ahead of Jan Kopecky (Fabia R5) and Karl Kruuda (Fiesta R5).
