New face for Rally Poland

Le Rally of Poland, seventh round of WRC of which our 2015 Guide is available in issue 1995 of AUTOhebdo, downloadable in digital version, will be entirely contested within the borders of the native country of Robert Kubica, unlike last year when the event included passages in Lithuania. Two specials had also been canceled.

The route proposed this season has been largely revised by the organizers, but will still have the city of Mikolajki. Nineteen special stages are scheduled for 332 km of timed sections. “Only the duel super-special at the Mikołajki Arena will have the same route as last year, precise Race Director Jarosław Noworól. For the rest of the rally, we will take well-known sections, sectors in the opposite direction or even sections used several years ago, outside the framework of the World Championship. There will also be new features, including the longest special stage of this rally. » This ES will extend over nearly 42 km, and will be covered twice on Friday, a stage which will include eight ES. The second day on Saturday will consist of seven special stages before a trio of SS stages concluding the event on Sunday, including the Power Stage.

“The route is laid out to avoid night specials. In 2014, most of the stages pleased the drivers, fans and media, but we took into account their opinions and suggestions to prepare the future edition. »
concludes Noworól. The Polish Rally, won last year by Frenchman Sébastien Ogier at the wheel of his Volkswagen Polo R, will take place from 2 au 5 juillet.
