Ogier and Citroën first leaders in Sardinia

Sébastien Ogier took the scratch in the super special of Rally from Sardinia. The championship leader completed the 2km of Ittiri Arena Show in 2'00''7. It was his teammate Esapekka Lappi who was the closest with a tenth behind, placing the two Citroën C3s WRC at the forefront.

The gaps remain small on this route. Ott Tänak (Toyota) pointe au 3e rang à 3 dixièmes de la référence devant son coéquipier Kris Meeke. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) complète le Top 5 devant Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) et Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Dani Sordo (Hyundai) pointe en 8e position à 2 secondes du meilleur temps juste devant son coéquipier Andreas Mikkelsen. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) complète le Top 10.

Kalle Rovanpeä (Skoda) was the fastest in WRC 2, setting the 11th fastest time, 3 tenths ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota) who took caution for his debut in the Yaris WRC. Mads Ostberg (Citroën) follows with the same delay.

 

 

The first stage of the Sardinia Rally will begin this Friday at 8:03 a.m. with the 22,28km from Tula. The day will be followed with our live text.
