Ogier and M-Sport titled, Evans winner

Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia secured their fifth consecutive world title with one round remaining at the end of Wales Rally GB, which they finished in third place. The new five-time world champion secured the title by taking fourth position in the Power Stage.

The success is total for M-Sport since Malcolm Wilson's team won its third Manufacturers' title after 2006 and 2007, its first in the Drivers' Championship, and victory with Elfyn Evans. The local driver of the event, the first Briton to win Wales Rally GB since Richard Burns in 2000, also offered the first success at the highest level of the discipline to Dmack who developed specific tires for the conditions of this rally.

Elfyn Evans won with more than 37 seconds on Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who saved the honor by winning the Power Stage ahead of Kris Meeke (Citroën), Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Sébastien Ogier and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai).

Andreas Mikkelsen secured fourth place by finishing less than five seconds from the podium and ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala by half a second. Ott Tänak took sixth place after choosing to slow down in the Power Stage in order to give his teammate Sébastien Ogier maximum chances of scoring bonus points.

Kris Meeke (Citroën) finished seventh ahead of Hayden Paddon (Hyundai), Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai).

En WRC 2, Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) took victory almost two minutes ahead of Éric Camilli (Ford) who retained second place for almost eight seconds ahead of Tom Cave (Ford).
