By signing the scratch in the first two special stages of the day, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) once again reduced the gap on Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford) for the fight for final victory in Italy.
In the fight for fourth place, Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) built up a small margin of 11″ over Mads Ostberg (Citroën). Next Craig Breen (Citroën), author of a small error in SS18, and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), left this Sunday after his alternator problems last night and his retirement after SS16.
Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia R5) remains leader in WRC2 and is in 8th place ahead Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Martin Prokop (Ford Fiesta WRC), also made a mistake in SS18, getting stuck in a bush for a few seconds.
