Ogier keeps the lead against Neuville at Monte-Carlo

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) resists the pressure of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) To Rally Monte Carlo. The six-time winner of the event concluded the third stage by holding the Belgian to more than 4 seconds, the tire choices having been similar this afternoon.

Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) returned to the provisional podium by taking the advantage over Jari-Matti Latvala. The nine-time champion WRC n’en a pas pour autant fini avec les Toyota puisque le Finlandais n’est qu’à 2 secondes de l’Alsacien, tandis qu’Ott Tänak also appears threatening.

The Estonian took the scratch in all four specials today. By being the only one to opt only for slicks in the second pass, he closed to 15 seconds of his Finnish teammate.

Kris Meeke (Toyota) stood out with some good performances, but the Northern Irishman remains isolated in 6th position ahead of Gus Greensmith (Ford), leader of WRC 2 Pro. Yoann Bonato (Citroën) remains leader of WRC 2 despite losing more than a minute on the last course after seeing his front right tire slip away. He remains 8th in the general classification with half a minute ahead of Stéphane Sarrazin (Hyundai), not registered in WRC 2, while Guillaume de Mevius (Citroën) has regained the advantage over Adrien fourmaux in the last special for 5 seconds.

The final stage will be made up of two special stages covered twice. The day will start at 8:20 a.m. with the 18,41km from La Bollène-Vésubie – Peira Cava. The Monte-Carlo Rally can be followed live with our live text.
