Ogier plays his place as vice-champion

Sébastien Ogier has been impressive this season. With two events won this year, the Citroën driver is in second position in the Championship, with one event remaining. But Wales Rally GB, the last event of the season WRC, has not always succeeded for the Frenchman who encountered problems during the two previous editions.

« I had taken the lead rally from the first specials in 2008 », remembers Sébastien Ogier. “ It was a bit crazy, since it was our first WRC rally. But then I went off the road and only saw the finish thanks to the SupeRally. Last year, it was the mechanics that forced us to abandon. These memories encourage me to approach this last rally with humility. »

Kimi Räikkönen's teammate knows that he will have to be careful on the particularly tricky British course. “ To prepare for this rally, I did a physical preparation course in the Pyrenees and I will arrive in great shape. I know it is a difficult rally and the memories I have of my first two participations are mixed. »

Nevertheless, Sébastien's new teammate Loeb intends to attack in this last event, without simply protecting its second place in the Championship. “ However, I don't want to hold back and ride all weekend to settle for fifteen points for third position. To achieve my goal, I want to fight for the best possible ranking. »
