Ogier: “The DS3 WRC was efficient”

At the foot of a podium monopolized by Ford, Sébastien Ogier is the best placed of the Citroën drivers. The Gapençais is satisfied to have been able to prove the competitiveness of his new weapon.

Fourth in the opening round of the 2011 World Rally Championship, Sébastien Ogier engaged in a merciless fight for the podium. Helpless in the face of Jari-Matti Latvala's comeback on the last day, the Frenchman managed to glean three additional points by winning the Power Stage.

“The result is rather encouraging for a second participation in the Rally from Sweden, he said after arrival. We have many positive things to take away from this experience. Despite the difficulties, we have shown that the Citroën DS3 WRC was efficient. From now on, I can't wait to drive on dirt where the car promises to be efficient! »

The gravel will be in question from March 3 to 6, with the entire WRC caravan meeting in Mexico for the second round of the 2011 World Rally Championship. Last year, with Loeb ahead of Solberg and Ogier, Citroën had signed a fabulous hat-trick.
