Ogier: Victory is not impossible

After seven events contested this season, Sébastien Ogier occupies third place in the Championship with 22 points behind leader Sébastien Loeb and five points on Mikko Hirvonen (Ford). After his victory at Rally from the Acropolis, Sébastien Ogier will approach the Rallye des 1000 Lacs with the desire to repeat his feat.

Even though the Frenchman had achieved a promising second place in Finland in 2009, he still knows that the Ford drivers will be difficult to follow at home. “I will do everything to be in the rhythm from the first special”, indicated Sébastien Ogier. “It is important to bring back big points from Finland. We know that it will be a difficult rally against the local drivers, always formidable on their home soil. »

However, the Citroën driver does not hide that success in Finland will be his objective. The Frenchman will be on the attack from the first kilometers of the course. “Victory is not, however, an impossible goal to achieve. The goal is to gain confidence from the start of the rally and to be able to let go from the first kilometers? This is what we missed last year. »
