Ogier far ahead of the fight at the Tour de Corse

The duel between Thierry Neuville and Kris Meeke (Citroën) remains breathtaking since the Belgian and the Northern Irishman are still separated in five seconds, but both drivers are under threat ofOtt Tänak (Toyota) revenu à deux secondes du Nord-Irlandais, notamment après son scratch dans l’ES7 de Novella.

Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) distanced his pursuers to protect his fifth position. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) is now almost half a minute behind the Top 5 even if the Spaniard has taken the advantage over Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). The Welshman is now threatened by Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) remains ninth ahead of Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport).

Following his exit from the road in SS2, Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) started again in Rally 2 this morning. The nine-time WRC champion may have some regrets since he scored the scratch on the first two courses. The Alsatian was further behind in SS7, only setting the sixth fastest time, but the Frenchman was discovering the course unlike his opponents. The Citroën driver moved up to 29th place.

Jan Kopecky (Skoda) remains at the head of WRC 2, now more than 47 seconds ahead of Yoann Bonato (Citroën). The Frenchman lost ground as Ole Christian Veiby (Skoda) came back to less than 12 seconds. Pierre-Louis Lobet (Hyundai) now occupies fourth place following an accident involving Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) who suffered a pedal problem in SS5.

The crews should compete in the second passage from 15:21 p.m. The Tour de Corse can be followed live with our live text.
