Dropped in the rankings after the first stages of the Rally from Kenya, Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) is now engaged in the battle for victory.
With the retirement of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) earlier this Sunday, the seven-time world champion moved up to 2nd place just 4” behind the new leader, his teammate Takamoto Katsuta.

Now in the mix, Sébastien Ogier came back to just 8 tenths behind the Japanese after SS15, the first for Katsuta in control in the Kenyan savannah.
« The goal of the day was to fight for 2nd place. Now that Neuville gave up, we fight for victory », he says as he prepares to attack the last three stages of the weekend.
Far behind in the rankings on Friday, Sébastien Ogier did not give up and is now engaged in a battle with Takamoto Katsuta to secure his 4th victory this season, his 53rd in his career.
The competition will resume in Kenya at 9:45 a.m. with SS16.
