Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) took advantage of a swept road Rally from Mexico to set a good pace in the first passage of the second stage. With a lead of 13 seconds over Teemu Suninen (M-Sport), he returns to mid-day service with more than 28 seconds ahead of the Finn.
The M-Sport driver is focused on performanceOtt Tänak (Hyundai) who easily overtook Elfyn Evans (Toyota) to come back to within 7 seconds of second place. Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) remains isolated in 5th place and is at the back of the leading group. Gus Greensmith was running in 6th place before losing around ten minutes in SS14 after suffering from an accelerator problem.
Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) continues to dominate the WRC 2 with almost a minute ahead of Nikolay Gryazin (Hyundai) while Ole Christian Veiby (Hyundai) remains several minutes behind.
