Ogier deprives Räikkönen of a victory

Sébastien Ogier never stops winning. After a fantastic first success in the World Rally Championship in Portugal, the Frenchman won the Rally della Lanterna, round of the Italian asphalt trophy.

Came with the sole objective of doing kilometers on asphalt before the Rally of Bulgaria next month, Sébastien Ogier started on hard tires at the start of the rally despite showers. On eggshells, the second in the World Championship lost a lot of time and ranked eighth at the end of SS2 while Kimi Räikkönen took the lead in the general classification after SS4.

With identical and more suitable tires, Ogier reversed the trend but had to fight until the last time to win by only 5??7 after 123 kilometers. Third, the Italian Maurizio Ferrecchi (Ford Focus RS WRC) finished at 1?56??0. Eleven WRCs were at the start.

The next meeting of the Citroën Junior Team of Sébastien Ogier and Kimi Räikkönen is the Bulgarian Rally from July 8 to 11.
