Ogier takes advantage of Loeb and Sordo's misfortunes in Mexico

Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) is the new leader of Rally from Mexico on the evening of the second stage. If the five-time world champion lined up the scratch points in the second run, he also took advantage of the problems of his direct opponents.

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai) both suffered a puncture in Guanajuatito (SS14) after hitting a stone on the road. If the Spaniard is still on the provisional podium after having managed to complete the course while losing half a minute, the Alsatian lost more than two minutes by being forced to stop to change his wheel.

The nine-time champion of WRC is now in fifth place, 47 seconds behind Andreas Mikkelsen. The Frenchman remains more than two minutes ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), author of several errors this afternoon which put its i20 WRC to the test.

Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) remains comfortably installed at the head of WRC 2, occupying seventh place in the general classification with more than five minutes ahead of the Fiesta R5 of Gus Greensmith.

The final stage of Rally Mexico is scheduled to start at 15:18 p.m. The crews still in the race will still have three special stages to face.
