Ogier reassures after leaving the track

Starting their 3rd day of testing in preparation for Monte-Carlo near Saint-André de Rosans, 60 km southwest of Gap, Sébastien and Julien went off the road. If the Gapençais did not feel the shock afterwards, the Aixois was taken to the Gap hospital for examinations.

« While it was early in the morning, details the pilot, we were trapped by a black plate when braking. The car did not slow down and I shot straight into a tree which we fell. Just behind, we did a small rollover which crushed the rear of the Yaris »

If the general public may have been concerned about the state of the reigning world champion crew, Sébastien Ogier wanted to reassure everyone. “ When we see the photo, there is material damage and it is possible to think that it was violent. However, this is not my point of view. I didn't feel anything and I didn't have any pain. Julien had it in his lower back, so he had an MRI to be safe and everything is fine »

A few hours later, Ingrassia gave reassuring news in his very particular style: “ Well... We cut down a few trees... Sorry about that... I'll probably be walking like a zombie for the next few days, but there's no doubt I'll be at the start of the Monte Carlo. Thank you for your messages, I'm fine »

A few days earlier, it was Thierry Neuville who had spun and hit a wall of snow, giving two badly placed unconscious people a big scare.
