Ogier remains silent on his future

The double retirement of Citroën drivers at Rally from Australia pushed the leaders of the French team to favor Sébastien Loeb compared to Sébastien Ogier, following the return of Mikko Hirvonen to second place in the Championship. But the two Frenchmen had previously clashed in Germany when Sébastien Ogier had made known his impressions of the team instructions which already favored the seven-time world champion.

If Dani Sordo's replacement at Citroën now agrees to slow down to benefit his teammate, he remained very evasive regarding his future within the manufacturer. “For the moment, I will focus on this rally and the end of the season”, replied the Frenchman. “The only thing I can say is that I have a contract with Citroën for the next two years. »

Sébastien Ogier also did not wish to expand on his status at Citroën, which favors Sébastien Loeb, leader of the Championship. “I think we have to ask the question to the team, it's not up to me to answer. My approach will be the same as usual, I will try to obtain the best possible result. I think my Championship is over following the last rally. »
